Draymond Jamal Green was born on March 4th, 1990 and is a native of Saginaw, Michigan. He was a star basketball player at his local high school, who averaged 20 points, 13 rebounds, and 2 blocks a game. His high school team recorded 27-1 and was ranked number 4 by the USA Today national high school rankings. Draymond went on to play college basketball with the Michigan State Spartans but initially was set to go to Kentucky. March 16th, 2012, Draymond recorded his third career triple double during the second round of the 2012 NCAA Tournament and joined legends Oscar Robertson and Ervin “Magic” Johnson as being the third player of the NCAA Tournament history to have two career triple doubles during a NCAA Tournament. During his 2008-2012 college career, he won numerous awards such as NABC National Player of the Year, Big Ten Player of the Year, and Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year, among others. Draymond ended his college career as one of the three players of Michigan State’s history with over 1,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.

Draymond was drafted during round two of the 2012 NBA Draft. He was the 35th overall pick and signed a three year, $2.6 million dollar contract with the Golden State Warriors. During his first NBA game, Draymond made one rebound and fouled someone, all in the one and only minute he actually played. He would eventually receive more time in the the coming games but started to struggle shooting the ball. He was only averaging twenty minutes of play time per game but he finally scored his first double figure score on December 21, 2012, he scored 11 points against the Charlotte Bobcats.

The following season, Green lost 20 pounds and showed an improvement with his three point shooting and also defensively. His coach, Mark Jackson, has called him a leader and a tremendous competitor. Looking Back at the 2013 Warrior’s Season

The Golden Warriors are an NBA team that is based in Oakland California. They are part of the Pacific division of the NBA. The Warriors have some notable NBA players on this team that made the season great. The team had a very good season the past year. Looking back at the last year of Golden State Warrior Basketball ,The 2013-2013 season started with a bang after signing the rookies Banner and Ezoli on June 28th. This cosmic duo was highly important during the season. In July the Warrriors laso signed Jarrett Jack from New Orleans who added power and grace to the already impressive team. The team suffered a loss on their opening battle on Nov. 2nd, but after that almost everything went the Warriors way.

One of the ebst things this year was the fact that they hit their 20th win, before the 30th game mark. This was one special event that marked the season. They were also 6 and 1 for roadtrip games so proving Golden State Warriors are one of the best teams in the NBA and their win loss record proved this to be the case. This impressive record for road trips was the first in franchise history and only the 9th time in the history of the NFL that teams have lost only one game on a 7 season road trip. This was the Warriors claim to fame for the season.

Brandon Rush also had a good season with th 67.8 TS, prior to his injury during the early part of the season although he also proved to be a bit turnover prone which did not help the case of the Warriors, nonetheless they had a good season and some of the players had great stats to back up some competient and even exemplary ball handling, Other standouts for the team included David Lee who was perhapts the premium player in the franchise with 22.8 points in 12.5 rounds wih 2.8 assists. Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were also fantastic players for the Warriors and combined for some impresive numbers all season long. They were also instumental in the win over the Los Angeles Clippers, where the warriors beat the clippers 115-94. Curry in addition has a league record with 272 3 pointers.

The NBA raning for the Warriors were 7th overall in points per game. They wee 3rd overall in rebounds per game. They were 15th overall in assists per game. They were also ranked in 2nd place overall in the Pacific division. Golden state is always an excitig team to watch, and this past season proved to be one of the best, with the trip to the playoffs.

The Warriors got their tickte to the playoffs by beating the Minnesota TImberwolves 97- 95. They advanced their playoff hopes and kept their dream alive. The Warriors were beaten in the second round by the San Antonio Spurs, 2 games to 4 in a hard fought battle. This was the culimination of a long demanding, but rewarding season for the Warrriors.
